How to turn on your built in Blue Light filter on iPhone

Most people are familiar with the blue light that comes from screens like our phones, computers, and tablets. This type of light is also found in LED lights and some fluorescent lights. It’s a short wavelength light that is high in energy.

For years, we’ve been told that too much blue light is bad for our eyes. It can cause digital eye strain, which includes symptoms like dry eyes, headaches, and neck and shoulder pain. It can also disrupt our sleep because it suppresses the production of melatonin, the hormone that helps us sleep.

Now, there are plenty of products on the market that claim to reduce blue light exposure, like blue light filtering glasses and screen covers. And there are even some phones that come with built-in blue light filters.

But what if you don’t want to spend any money on a product? Is there a way to reduce blue light exposure on your phone without spending a dime?

Yes! Most iPhones come with a built-in feature that allows you to reduce blue light exposure. It’s called Night Shift.

Here’s how to turn on Night Shift:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap Display & Brightness.
3. Tap Night Shift.
4. Select the schedule that you want:
-Manually: Tap From To, then set the schedule.
-Sunset to Sunrise: Tap the slider to turn on.
-Custom Schedule: Tap Custom Schedule, then set the schedule.
5. Tap the slider to turn on Night Shift.

You can also use the Control Center to turn Night Shift on or off. To do this, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open the Control Center. Then, tap the Night Shift icon (it looks like a half-moon).
